Ghode & Jadhav Agritech Equipments Industries Private Limited is a government-backed agritech startup founded by two engineers from Maharashtra. Born out of a deep understanding of the struggles of onion farmers, the company designs precision harvesting machinery tailored to Indian soil conditions, farm sizes, and budgets.
Incubated at COEP's Bhau Institute and supported by DST, RKVY, and Magic Incubation Centre, the company has developed two flagship products — the Onion Digger and the Onion Topper — that together cover the full post-harvest cycle of onion farming.

The Onion Digger mechanizes the most physically demanding stage of onion farming — uprooting. It works across all soil types and plantation methods, lifting onions cleanly from the ground and laying them in a single row, ready for collection. What used to take a team of laborers all day now takes one tractor driver three hours.

The Onion Topper eliminates the need for large labor teams, cutting every onion at a precise, constant height with zero damage to the bulb. At 4 tonnes per hour, it handles what would otherwise require an entire day of manual work.
